Business Development Manager, Platform & Data Partnerships

The Role
We’re looking for a Business Development leader with experience in Ad Tech, Agency, and B2B environments, who thrives in entrepreneurial, early-stage settings. You’ll work directly with the Head of Sales & Account to grow our business by building strong relationships with new and existing partners across the media, platform and data space. This role offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the growth of Octane11 in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Partnership Prospecting & Development:
    • Identify and engage strategic partners across the B2B media, data and tech landscape
    • Build and manage a pipeline of partnership opportunities with platforms, publishers, and data providers
    • Structure mutually beneficial agreements that expand Octane11’s capabilities and distribution 
  • Sales Enablement & Revenue Expansion:
    • Drive adoption of Octane through co-selling with media, data and agency partners
    • Create tailored proposals and go-to-market plans that showcase joint value propositions
    • Surface cross-sell and upsell opportunities by deeply understanding partner needs
  • Platform Integration & Ecosystem Growth:
    • Collaborate with Sales and Product to shape integration priorities with key platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, The Trade Desk, Bombora, Integrate, Demandbase, etc.)
    • Ensure successful onboarding and activation of new partners and their clients
    • Provide insights that inform future product development and roadmap alignment
  • Marketing & Thought Leadership:
    • Represent Octane11 at industry events and webinars
    • Create partner marketing materials, case studies and co-branded content
    • Publish insights and trends on LinkedIn and other media channels to evangelize our platform 

What You Bring

  • Experience:
    • 3+ years in digital media, ad tech, agency partnerships, or related B2B roles
    • Track record of building and managing strategic relationships with platforms and partners
    • Familiarity with B2B data and media buying tools (e.g., Demandbase, Bombora, Liveramp, D&B, etc.)
  • Skills:
    • Excellent communicator with the ability to simplify complex tech for multiple audiences
    • Proven negotiator with the ability to identify win-win scenarios for commercial partnerships
    • Highly organized, self-motivated, and adaptable in the fast-paced startup environment

  • All team members must be able to work during US-East time zone business hours
