About Octane11

Octane11 is an AI-powered marketing analytics platform — for B2B only — that connects paid, owned, and earned marketing activity to sales data in order to deliver clear, actionable insights. We help B2B-focused agencies and enterprises with $25M+ in revenue improve marketing efficiency by 10x, deliver 5x more sales leads, and compare performance to 25 industry benchmarks. Backed by top VCs and industry insiders, Octane11 is helping some of the largest B2B enterprises and agencies break down data silos and turn every digital interaction into an actionable insight.

The Role

We are looking for a highly skilled, organized and self-motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our Platform Team. This is a hands-on, high-impact role at the core of our product — you will work across the full stack on backend APIs, shared libraries, and frontend applications that serve real production customers every day.

We are a lean, self-organized, and highly autonomous team. You will contribute to a TypeScript monorepo with multiple microservices, shared libraries, and two Next.js applications, working directly with engineers and product managers to build reliable, scalable systems. We care deeply about best practices, clean code, and building things that last. AI-assisted development is part of our day-to-day, for accelerating development or exploring problems in new ways. You'll have the opportunity to help shape how we use them as a team. This is an outstanding opportunity to make a real impact on a fast-growing, entrepreneurial team with unlimited potential for learning, responsibility, and career development.

Responsibilities

  • Own full-stack development across backend APIs and frontend applications, contributing to shared packages and libraries within the team's centralized monorepo.
  • Participate in schema design, code reviews, and architectural decisions — your technical opinion matters here.
  • Write reliable tests at every level: unit, integration, and E2E.
  • Improve developer tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure, helping the team ship faster and operate more reliably at scale.
  • Partner closely with product teams across the full lifecycle — from solution research and design through planning, delivery, testing, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Share knowledge, mentor teammates, and help raise the overall technical bar of the team.
  • Most importantly, help build a team culture that strives for greatness and makes our clients heroes every day.

About You

Beyond technical skills, we value curiosity, a collaborative spirit, and a genuine interest in the problems we're solving. We believe the best engineers are those who care about impact, take ownership, and keep growing.

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong command of TypeScript in both frontend and backend contexts.
  • Solid experience with Node.js and building RESTful APIs.
  • Comfortable with React and modern frontend patterns.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and a modern ORM.
  • Familiarity with agentic systems and modern AI patterns — you understand how LLM-based workflows, tool use, and multi-agent architectures fit into a production platform.
  • You are a strong communicator — comfortable working directly with Product and business stakeholders, not just engineers.
  • You work independently, take ownership of what you build, and don't need active supervision to deliver.
  • You are a team player who genuinely cares about the people around you and the quality of the product you're building.
  • You embrace AI-assisted development tools (Claude, GitHub Copilot, etc.) and are eager to keep pushing how you use them.

Extras

These are nice-to-haves that could make you an especially strong fit:

  • Experience with Next.js, Prisma, or monorepo tooling (Turborepo, npm workspaces).
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (GCP, Docker, or Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with data ETL pipelines (dbt) and querying large datasets (BigQuery).
  • Background in B2B SaaS, ideally with data or analytics products.

Our Stack

We use a variety of technologies across our platform. We are open to candidates from different backgrounds — what matters most is strong fundamentals and a genuine desire to learn and grow.

  • TypeScript, Node.js, React
  • Next.js
  • PostgreSQL
  • Prisma, Turborepo, npm workspaces
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Docker, Kubernetes
  • Git / GitHub
  • REST, OAuth

Example Jobs to be Done

These are representative examples of the kind of work you'd be doing — not an exhaustive list, but a window into what the role looks like in practice.

(1) Build and maintain backend APIs

Design and implement reliable, well-tested REST APIs that power both our client-facing product and internal services. You'll work across the monorepo, contributing to shared libraries and ensuring consistency across services.

(2) Contribute to frontend applications

Work on our Next.js applications — building new features, improving existing ones, and ensuring a high-quality experience for our users. You'll collaborate closely with product and design.

(3) Shape technical architecture

Participate in architectural decisions — schema design, service boundaries, API contracts. Your input matters and you'll be expected to bring strong opinions backed by experience.

(4) Improve developer experience and infrastructure

Identify and fix pain points in our CI/CD pipelines, tooling, and local development setup. A faster, more reliable developer experience benefits the whole team.

(5) Work with agentic and AI-powered systems

Contribute to features that leverage LLM-based workflows and AI tooling as part of our platform. You'll help shape how we integrate and evolve these capabilities in production.

(6) Own quality end-to-end

Write tests at every level — unit, integration, E2E. You care about what happens after you ship, and you take responsibility for the reliability of what you build.

If you are a senior engineer who loves building reliable systems, working across the full stack, and being a strong contributor on a small but mighty team — we want to hear from you!
